MY CHRISTMAS DAY OUTFIT.

Monday, 28 December 2015

Merry Christmas to everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day!

A Christmas Day outfit isn't always a necessity I tend to have but after seeing this stunner of a dress in Topshop I couldn't think of a better occasion to wear it. The thing that caught my eye about this dress is that it sports 70's trends whilst being wearable for everyday. The style (the fitted body and A-line skirt) and red corduroy material is what make it super 70's but as it's still a mini dress it can be styled differently and therefore can be worn often. For a more evening appropriate look the dress alone and a pair of heels would be ideal but for a Winters day layering works wonders - this black funnel neck has been a solid staple in my wardrobe ever since I purchased it and is perfect paired with this dress.

The other feature that drew me to this dress is that it can also be worn as a sleeveless jacket as the zip at the front unfastens all the way down and the belt can be tied to give a more relaxed look. Since Christmas Day I've worn the dress as a sleeveless jacket with a pair of grey jeans and a roll neck and loved the outcome equally. Being a lover of silver hardware opposed to gold, I'm so glad this dress has my preferred choice as I find it makes it appear more minimal and classic.

So it's fair to say I've found a winner with this dress.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND THE CLOTHES SHOW LIVE.

Monday, 21 December 2015

The Clothes Show Live is something I've loved for three years. If you have any interest in fashion or beauty then it's a day out that I can guarantee you'll want to experience! This year the Clothes Show 2015 took place from the 4th-8th of December and I was lucky enough to attend on the 5th.

The event itself takes place at the NEC in Birmingham and from corner to corner the whole room is flooded with all things fashion and beauty. This year the brands that stood out to me were NYX Cosmetics, Nanshy, David & Goliath, ASOS Marketplace, Lee Stafford and Rimmel however there were hundreds of other well known and less well known brands scattered around the NEC. I picked up a few bits from NYX and Nanshy and whilst doing so got little bit over excited!

During the day I heard a talk by the fabulous Louisa AKA Sprinkle of Glitter which was full of laughs! As well as this, many other famous faces were there throughout the five days that the event took place. Last year when I attended the Clothes Show I met JIM CHAPMAN and was featured in his Vlogmas with my group of friends - I still don't know how we managed it and I'm yet to get over it!

My favourite event of the entire Clothes Show is most definitely the Fashion Theatre which is basically a runway show featuring several fashion trends! Excitingly, it gives me an insight into what I could be a part of in the future (as I want to work in the fashion industry). It features models, dancers and this year Ella Eyre sang as part of the show! The atmosphere in the arena is insane and by far the highlight of the day!

I'd recommend the Clothes Show to anyone who is interested in fashion and/or beauty or to anyone who has found what I've described in this blog post interesting. From what I am aware the tickets for the 2016 dates come out in the middle of next year and the event always takes place at the beginning of December.

Will you be attending the Clothes Show Live next year?

WARDROBE STAPLE #5.

Saturday, 21 November 2015

The Winter boot is an essential in my wardrobe. They are so practical, classic and tend to go with pretty much everything I own.
The perfect Winter boot should obviously be comfortable and in my opinion slightly heeled and pointed! Fortunately these boots tick all those boxes. There's something about pointed boots that looks so classy and put together and it's no different with these lovely numbers!
The height of the heel is that perfect inbetween of not too high whilst still adding that much needed height. This means they can be styled for an evenings outfit, or simply worn day to day to keep it casual.
(Of course, I had to have the classic Autumn leaves picture!)

MY CURRENT SKIN CARE RECOMMENDATIONS.

Sunday, 8 November 2015

My skin is the make or break of my confidence so having the right skincare routine is essential. I've found some great products that get me through those bad skin days when my skin doesn't feel like cooperating but also keep my skin looking healthy and clear on the good days. Three out of the four products are under £10 and the other product is under £20!
This product is a god send in my eyes. I can't imagine how my skin would be without it. It prevents breakouts and clears my skin like nothing else. I see a noticeable difference when I don't use it! I've been using this moisturiser/spot treatment for about a year now and I can guarantee I'll be using it for years to come - I honestly can't recommend it enough along with the whole of the La Roche Posay range (or what I've used of it!). This is the more expensive product out of the four but, in my opinion, it's totally worth every single penny.

If you haven't heard of micellar water where have you been? In my opinion it's the best way to remove all of your makeup as it's hassle free and actually good for your skin - unlike makeup wipes! The micellar water I prefer to use is the Garnier one simply because you get more for your money. The L'oreal one does the exact same thing but you get half the amount of product for the same price, so it's an obvious choice for me!

I've been a lover of The Body Shop Tea Tree Range for a while and I think out of all the products I've used from the range this is my favourite and is the most effective. Similar to the Effaclar Duo Moisturiser I mentioned earlier, it visibly clears breakouts and soothes the skin. This product also claims to be able to control shine and I'm totally on board with that! A good, affordable all rounder really!

At £4.19 this scrub is an absolute steal! I can feel a difference in the texture of my skin after using it and my skin looks more plumped and hydrated as well. I usually scrub my face 2-3 times a week and I use this product every single time. The smell is refreshing and fruity and makes using this scrub even more enjoyable. There's plenty of product in the tube so for £4.19 there's really not much you can ask for...
There are, of course, plenty of other products that I use on my skin but at the moment these are the ones that I'm loving all for various reasons. I hope this post has been useful and given you an insight on how I like to look after my skin.

What's your go-to skin care product?

A BIRTHDAY HAUL & MINI REVIEW.

Sunday, 11 October 2015

Two weeks ago it was my birthday and it was a (very) good one! I had a get together with all my friends and then went out for a meal with my family on the actual day. I really appreciate all of the time and effort my friends and family put in to making my birthday special and I love them all very much. I received some very amazing and thoughtful gifts, most of which were surprises!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette - My amazing friends put there money together to get me this bad boy and I couldn't be happier with the result! I first used this on my birthday evening and I couldn't believe the pigmentation and colour range. There's an amazing mix of mattes, shimmers and glitters with brights, darks and neutral tones. My favourite shades so far are; Milk Chocolate, Creme Brulee, Salted Caramel and Candied Violet. Oh, and the best part is, it genuinely smells like chocolate!
Rimmel 016 Lipstick - This beautiful lipstick is a warm berry shade which is absolutely perfect for this time of year. The pigmentation is lovely and the formula is creamy as per usual from Rimmel. I can't wait to rock this shade with a big scarf and warm coat!

MAC Mehr Lipstick - I've had my eye on this lippy for a while so it was a lovely surprise to open this on my birthday! It's a matte lipstick which is my preferred finish but the shade is the best part. It's a purple toned nude which is so unusual and something I'm loving.

Real Techniques 201 Brush - Firstly the appearance of this brush is just gorgeous, it's so sleek and stylish and looks great in my brush pot. I've been loving using this in my crease for a simple eye look and I've discovered that it's absolutely perfect for under the eye in the outer corner. Love it!

MAC 217 Brush - I've been wanting this brush for so long and I'm so happy I finally own it - thanks Sis! The first time I used it I couldn't quite believe how good it is even though I know it's a cult beauty product. It's brilliant at packing on the eyeshadow and blending it out again. Although it's pricey I'd 100% recommend it!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - This mascara has quickly become my favourite. It brings volume, length and all things amazing when it comes to lashes. The packaging is gorgeous but the name leaves something to be desired...

Sali Hughes Pretty Honest - Since this book came out I've wanted to pick it up so when my Grandma said she wanted to buy it for me I was over the moon! I've only just started reading it but what I've read so far is so well written and very informative. I can't wait to continue reading.

Berlin Street Style, A Guide To Urban Chic - At the start of the year I picked up the Paris Street Style book which I've loved reading so I know I will love this version as well. It's the type of book which can be picked up and put down at any point. I love street style for fashion inspiration so this book is perfect.

This birthday has been so great and I feel very lucky to have such amazing friends and family. I love sharing the new things I've been loving and I hope you liked reading about them.

What've you been loving recently?

Love, Mais.

A WARDROBE STAPLE #4.

Monday, 5 October 2015

A waistcoat is something I've never owned before, however I am over the moon that I do now. I bought it knowing I would get so much wear out of it because it's black (of course) and dresses up or just enhances any kind of outfit. It's so versatile - I love how it looks with casual outfits such as the one in the photo and I can also imagine it would look equally as amazing paired with something a little bit more formal. The wrap belt cinches in the waist and adds a relaxed edge to this formal piece.

My favourite way that I've styled this waistcoat so far is with my ripped Mom jeans. Because the jeans are so casual and the waistcoat is so smart, it creates a real contrast which I'm in love with! The white polo neck, which I'm also sporting in the photo, looks amazing with it as the high neck line pokes out of the top and frames the waistcoat perfectly.

Although this piece was more of an investment I'm more than happy I plumped for it and I can't wait to discover new ways to style it.

How would you prefer to style it?

OCCASION WEAR ON A BUDGET.

Monday, 21 September 2015

At the weekend I attended a charity ball organised by one of my amazing friends and I loved every second of it - I want to do it all over again! It was filled with laughs, dancing and taking advantage of wearing beautiful dresses by taking an excessive amount of photos. It was a night shared with my best friends and a night I'll never forget.

When I was searching for a dress I just knew that I'd find something on ASOS. I didn't want anything too pricey as I don't think I'll be wearing this dress too regularly. With that thought in mind I plumped for this black number coming in at £32! I know, amazing right?!

This dress fits like a dream and the features which make the dress different from the usual black maxi are the slit, the mesh panel and the cross front halter neck. I wanted my outfit to look minimal so to continue this theme I wore black strappy heels and an envelope clutch.  To complete the minimalist look, all of the jewellery that I wore was silver.

MINIMAL JEWELLERY.

Sunday, 13 September 2015

Minimal jewellery is something I always wear and kind of feel lost without. I like to keep it simply so then it can be worn daily or for special events. I've found that I prefer silver jewellery over gold and this way it looks a bit more understated. Over the last few years I've accumulated some key pieces which I wear together, separately or mix and match.
Miscellaneous Rings (top left and right) - These rings were given to me by family members when I was younger and I rediscovered them a few years after so unfortunately I don't know where they're from, sorry!

Forever 21 Ring (bottom) - similar here. This came in a set of 3 from forever 21 but I couldn't find the exact set so I linked a gorgeous alternative! I normally wear this ring as an extra when I feel like going all out and wearing all my rings together.
Pandora Ring - here. After receiving this ring nearly 2 years ago, it rarely leaves my finger. The thing that attracted me to it was that it's two tonal and very different from anything I've seen before. Besides my watch, this is the piece of jewellery that I wear most often.

Casio Watch - here. After seeing various Casio watches on Instagram, I asked for one for Christmas and I genuinely don't think there's been a day since where I haven't worn it - I just love how retro it looks! Before I put it on, I find myself looking at my wrist for the time and I actually don't feel right without it...
Pandora Necklace and Charms (top)  - Necklace: here. Charms: here and here. This necklace and the charms only get worn occasionally but when they do I really love the way it looks - especially with v-neck tops. The charms mean something special to me as does my beautiful Auntie who bought me them.

Tiffany's Necklace (bottom) - here. When I received this beauty as a gift for an achievement, I couldn't quite believe it was mine. I've kept all the packaging and every time I wear it I wrap it back up again! It's so sparkly, elegant and classic and I will wear it forever and ever!

Simply, understated, silver jewellery is my favourite kind, what's yours?

AN A/W FASHION PICK.

Sunday, 6 September 2015

The wide leg jumpsuit has been seen everywhere since the A/W collections have started rolling in...and since I have a special event coming up in November I thought I'd grab myself a slice of this trend.
This Topshop piece is so timeless and classic. The cut of the jumpsuit is very flattering and definitely makes my legs appear longer which I'm all for, especially since I'm barely 5'3" and the smallest of all my friends!
As well as the event in November I can also see it getting pulled out for some use over the Christmas/New Year period and perhaps a future wedding...

URBAN OUTFITTERS HOME WISH LIST.

Tuesday, 1 September 2015

After popping into Urban Outfitters the other week, I discovered a few home bits that I fell head over heels for! When I came home after a day of shopping I got straight on their website and found some more amazing things... At the moment I'm feeling extra inspired after seeing a few beautiful interior blog posts so it was perfect timing to properly discover Urban Outfitters Home section. With the combination of seeing them instore, online and on blog posts, these are the 5 things that I've compiled into a little wish list:

  1. Pyramid Glass Box
  2. Scratch Map (originally seen on www.andieology.co.uk
  3. Tapestry Throw
  4. Pineapple Lamp (originally seen on www.pagesbymegan.com)
  5. Tassel Pillow Set
A short but sweet blog post, but after discovering these gems I couldn't help but share them.

KALKAN, TURKEY: A FEW HOLIDAY SNAPS, WHAT WE DID & WHERE TO EAT.

Friday, 28 August 2015

After being in Kalkan, Turkey for 2 weeks, one thing that really stood out was, of course the weather, but also the high standard of food and being a major foodie, that pleased me very much! Last year I was lucky enough to visit Kalkan with one of my beautiful friends and her lovely family so I already knew of some places that me and my family had to visit this year!

Before I talk about where to eat, I'll just mention what we did for 2 weeks. The villa that we stayed in was about 100m from Kalkan Beach Park (not really a park at all) - they offer free sun beds overlooking the sea and serve some lovely food. Over the 2 week holiday we spent 4 days relaxing there and were fortunate enough to be able to snorkel with wild turtles! It was an AMAZING experience and I'll never forget being less than a metre from such a beautiful creature!

The first Friday was dedicated to a private boat trip that we'd booked before we came on holiday. We had the boat all to ourselves and the only hard decision to make was whether to have a meat lunch or a fish lunch- we went for fish and there were no regrets! We went with the 'Whisper' boat but there are plenty of others to choose from.

The majority of the our time abroad was spent lounging about at the villa and relaxing during the day - it's too hot to contemplate much movement... The evenings were mainly spent in the centre of Kalkan and that's were the food comes in!
There were 4 restaurants that we loved over the 2 weeks, for a combination of the food, staff and location/view (we went to 3 of them multiple times):
  1. Moonstone (located on the strip between the Old Town and New Town). They serve mainly traditional Turkish food and everything that we had we all thoroughly enjoyed. It's worth booking before you go to get a table at the front of the terrace as the views are pretty special; overlooking the harbour, the sea and the main strip of Kalkan. The service here was some of the best we experienced all holiday. The owner couldn't thank us enough for coming for a second time.
  2. Adam's Place (out of Town). Before we even sat down to eat, we were impressed by the service that Adam provides. He offers to come and pick you up and take you back to where you're staying as his restaurant is roughly a 10 minute drive from Kalkan. Again the food here is traditional Turkish food. I'd recommend having the lamb shank for your main course as it falls off the bone and is served flaming - out of the three times we ate here I had it twice! Definitely don't miss out on crepes for dessert either! The views are different from what the majority of Kalkan has to offer as the surrounding area is calm and still, but equally as beautiful!
  3. Hunkar (located in the Old Town). As I discovered last year Hunkar is well known for their unbelievable kebabs - they're truly delicious and thinking about it now is making me hungry! We visited the restaurant four times and had a takeout once which was delivered to our door. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. Every version of kebab that I had, whether that be a platter, a skewer or a wrap, was tender and full of flavour!
  4. The Fish Terrace (located in the New Town). If you're a lover of fish then this is the place for you, although they make it clear that they serve alternatives as well! I had 'Fisherman's Feast' which is basically a plate full of different types of fish all cooked beautifully. The views are, again, amazing and maybe even more so than many other restaurants in Kalkan as it's situated at the bottom of the town meaning there aren't other terraces blocking the view.
The 2 weeks spent in Kalkan were some of the best I've ever had on holiday. Me and my family had some really lovely time relaxing and laughing in the sun. Wherever you go, all the locals are so friendly and are always willing to help.
If you or your family are ever stuck for somewhere to spend your Summer holiday, I would 100% recommend Kalkan!

Where did you go for your Summer holiday?

A MAKEUP MUST HAVE.

Tuesday, 18 August 2015

I've had my eye on MAC Painterly Paint Pot for quite some time so when my Mum offered to buy me a MAC product after I convinced her to have her eyeshadow done there, I reached for this product hoping it would match my expectations.

The reason I wanted this product was because I was in need of an eyeshadow primer and thought it would do the trick...and I can sure say it does! I've seen a noticeable difference in the longevity of my eyeshadow and how it sits on my eyelids. The consistency before applying is SO creamy but when it's applied it sets quite quickly meaning it doesn't budge and therefore makes for a brilliant primer. At the end of a day/evening it manages to make my eyeshadow appear as though it's been freshly applied which obviously I'm all for!
The thing that drew me to this particular shade of Paint Pot compared to any other was that it's flesh coloured meaning it doesn't really affect your eyeshadow look in terms of colour, it just creates a fresh base which eyeshadows can cling onto. I've also discovered that it's works perfectly at covering veins and looks lovely when used alone to create a fresh finish. An added bonus is that the packaging is so classy and sleek which makes me want to use it even more!

I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who is in need of an eyeshadow primer or is a keen makeup enthusiast and has some space in their collection. It's possibly my favourite MAC product (so far...) *BOLD STATEMENT*.

Love Mais.

IS ASOS PREMIER WORTH IT?

Tuesday, 11 August 2015

Since discovering ASOS, I don't think a week has gone by where I haven't scanned the site and its amazing selection of (mainly) fashion. After multiple orders, I decided that it was the optimum time to upgrade to ASOS Premier and being an avid lover of fashion it only makes sense...

For the mere payment of £9.95 A YEAR, you get UNLIMITED NEXT DAY DELIVERY (I know, amazing!). This, for me, was the main attraction as I desperately hate the usual 3-4 day wait between ordering something and receiving it, with the possibility that the item may not even fit. Personally I would still pay the annual tenner to get the free next day delivery with no added bonuses, but the little extras only make the whole package more attractive...

Other features of having ASOS Premier are that you can get early access to sales as well as access to exclusive sales. I receive regular emails telling me that I have a certain amount of hours where I can take a look at offers before anyone else!

ASOS Premier also offers a service that I'm yet to use. An alternative to taking your unwanted items back to the post office; you can drop off your package at a near-by place, for example a corner shop, and then the delivery van will pick it up and take it straight back - so you've beaten the queues and saved time. Another option is that a courier will come directly to your house to pick up your package, however I don't know the ins and outs of this! In the rare occasion that I want to send an item back, I personally find it easier to take it to my local post office as it happens to be very near where I live, but if you happen to live quite a distance away from a post office, this option is perfect.

The last and probably most exciting feature besides the free next day delivery is the free ASOS Magazine (as featured in the photo above). Throughout the year, 10 magazines are sent to ASOS Premier members and they're packed full of outfit ideas with clothes from the ASOS site, fashion trends, make-up trends and short stories of people in the Fashion Industry.

So if you haven't guessed I definitely think ASOS Premier is worth it! If you regularly order from the site then I'd 100% recommend it.

Have I convinced you yet?

Love Mais.

A WARDROBE STAPLE #3.

Sunday, 5 July 2015

Having a light weight Summer dress to chuck on in both formal and informal situations is an easy and clever option to have stored away for times of fashion despair. This particular dress leans more towards the formal side but can easily be transformed into a casual outfit when paired with some chunky boots or flats as shown.
The t-shirt style is what makes this dress so summery and casual. The thin belt allows a figure to be seen without labelling the dress a body-con or skater. The more formal elements are the pattern and length. You can never go wrong with stripes as they always seem to make a piece of clothing appear classier and more formal. The length also adds to the formality with a midi-style drop hem.
The material of the dress is what makes it summer appropriate - it's a thin, light material which is still of a high quality.
What attracted me to this dress was that it's so versatile and the design is so classic meaning it won't go out of fashion any time soon.

What's your wardrobe staple this Summer?

LIFE UPDATE.

Sunday, 21 June 2015

After being very busy for a while, I've missed blogging and I want to update you on what I've been up to in the past 4 weeks or so...

  1. The biggest thing that's happened in my life recently is that I have become head girl of the high school that I go to. The application process and the interview were all new experiences for me and I have gained lots of knowledge that I'm sure will help me in the future. When all the applicants got told who had got the roles, I burst into tears because it felt like a massive weight off my shoulders as I wanted the role SO much. I'm unbelievable proud to be head girl and I can't wait to get started.
  2. Last weekend I did my Duke of Edinburgh bronze award practise expedition. I think it's fair to say I underestimated its difficulty. After walking for a total of roughly 14 hours over two days, I came home to find that my feet were covered in blisters and as a result I couldn't really walk properly until 2 days after. Although the pain was unlike any other I'm looking forward to doing my qualifying expedition in a few weeks.
  3. It seems like the last 4 weeks have been solely dedicated to revision. I've only had 4 finals this year but this meant that I could focus more on these exams, compared to next year when I have the bulk of them! I feel as though they've all gone really well but I am desperate to find out my results!

In the next couple of weeks I've got some more events coming up...
  1. As already mentioned, my Duke of Edinburgh bronze qualifying expedition is coming up...hopefully my walking boots will have worn in now!
  2. Very soon I am performing in a weekend worth of shows that are a production of what the School of Theatre Arts, that I go to, has produced over the past 2 years. I am only involved in the dance portion of it, but I'm really excited to be apart of it.
  3. After organising my work experience right at the beginning of the year, I'm really excited to say that it's coming up very shortly. I'll be working at my local University in the Fashion and Textiles department as an assistant. I'm looking forward to being surrounded by people that share the same passion as me.
So there's an update on my recent/upcoming life. Blogposts may not be a regular as once a week for a little while, but I'll try my hardest to get them up when I can. When the summer holidays come around I can guarantee there will be plenty of posts on my blog. Thank you.

THE SKIN CARE DREAM TEAM.

Sunday, 24 May 2015

After having a mini meltdown a few weeks ago about the state of my skin, my Mum rushed me to Boots to pick up some certain skin care products. I've been using the brand 'La Roche-Posay' for a while but i never ventured further than their 'Effaclar Duo Anti-Blemish Cream', which was enough to make me realise what a brilliant brand it is.

The kit that I bought was the '3 step Anti-Blemish system' by 'La Roche-Posay' and I was delighted to find out that it included the cream that I had previously loved but run out off!
The 3 products included are:

1. 'Effaclar Purifying Gel Cleanser' - As the name would suggest it's a gel formula and it foams up when combined with water making it very easy to work with. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and very clean and I've definitely seen an improvement in my skin since getting it.

2. 'Effaclar Clarifying Toner' - I use this after the gel cleanser in the morning but before it on an evening. This toner helps to cleanse alongside the gel cleanser, but it also mattifies the skin. It's an extra beneficial step in my skin care routine.

3. 'Effaclar Duo Anti-Blemish Cream' - The star of the show and the product that introduced me to this amazing brand in the first place. After hearing many rave reviews on this particular cream I couldn't just neglect my urge to purchase it... Before buying this kit I'd bought this cream twice before and LOVED it. The results are noticeable the next day and it always continues to wow me as I continue to use it. It corrects the appearance of blemishes, it sinks in instantly, it gives my skin a boost of hydration and it works perfectly below makeup...so I think it's fair to say that it's a winner for me!
The price of 'La Roche-Posay' products is a weird one; it's definitely not the cheapest skin care around but it's nothing like the ridiculous prices that some brands sell their skin care for. This kit is £29.99 which I personally think is brilliant for such amazing products. The packaging for each product is works perfectly according to what the product is.

For anyone who is struggling with their skin and has £30 to spare, I would 100% recommend all these products.

Love Mais.

A WARDROBE STAPLE #2.

Monday, 27 April 2015

Cigarette pants have been on my 'To Buy' list for a while so finally I caved and purchased them! Like always I bought them in black as they look timeless and go with pretty much everything. The tailoring looks SO classy, with the pleats around the front and the rolled up ankles to frame the legs. They hang perfectly around the waist and whether you wear them with boots, heels or even trainers, they'd be a sophisticated replacement for your standard pair of jeans.
My preferred way to wear them is with a tight top as it contrasts with the relaxed fit of the trousers. As for outfits combinations black and white is a classic one but with Spring rearing it's fine head I think it's time that I find some colourful options to pair with these beautiful trousers. I can definitely see myself getting maximum use out of these, from Spring through to Winter combined all sorts of colours and textures. I'm excited to style and experiment with them in the future.

FINDING INSPIRATION: FASHION.

Monday, 13 April 2015

Anyone who knows me knows that I want a career in the fashion industry and getting ahead of the game (whilst enjoying it) this early on in my life can only be a good thing, right???
There is so much inspiration in regards to fashion; from seeing someone stroll down the street in an outfit you have to recreate to reading a magazine article about upcoming trends.
A recent source of inspiration that I'm loving is the Paris Street Style book. It's filled with amazing style advice and interviews from incredible, successful people. It's a great book to dip in and out of whenever you fancy which makes it more fun to read.

Very recently my lovely Gran bought me two very beautiful fashion related books. I'm yet to begin reading them but they have already started to inspire me with the classy covers and little snippets that I've had a glance at. I will get great pleasure from reading these books and I know they will be very useful for my future.

Some little extras that I picked up whilst on holiday are these Vogue postcards that I found at a random vintage shop - they were 50p each and I'm totally in love with them! At the moment they're sat on my desk but soon enough they will be up on my wall somewhere...
(The purple quote postcard was from a separate shop.)

Fashion is the industry that I know I want to be in so I love having little elements of inspiration everywhere.

Whatever you are inspired by it's motivating to have little aspects of it all around you and it will probably help you in achieving what you want.

What are you inspired by?

Love Mais.
