After being very busy for a while, I've missed blogging and I want to update you on what I've been up to in the past 4 weeks or so...
- The biggest thing that's happened in my life recently is that I have become head girl of the high school that I go to. The application process and the interview were all new experiences for me and I have gained lots of knowledge that I'm sure will help me in the future. When all the applicants got told who had got the roles, I burst into tears because it felt like a massive weight off my shoulders as I wanted the role SO much. I'm unbelievable proud to be head girl and I can't wait to get started.
- Last weekend I did my Duke of Edinburgh bronze award practise expedition. I think it's fair to say I underestimated its difficulty. After walking for a total of roughly 14 hours over two days, I came home to find that my feet were covered in blisters and as a result I couldn't really walk properly until 2 days after. Although the pain was unlike any other I'm looking forward to doing my qualifying expedition in a few weeks.
- It seems like the last 4 weeks have been solely dedicated to revision. I've only had 4 finals this year but this meant that I could focus more on these exams, compared to next year when I have the bulk of them! I feel as though they've all gone really well but I am desperate to find out my results!
In the next couple of weeks I've got some more events coming up...
- As already mentioned, my Duke of Edinburgh bronze qualifying expedition is coming up...hopefully my walking boots will have worn in now!
- Very soon I am performing in a weekend worth of shows that are a production of what the School of Theatre Arts, that I go to, has produced over the past 2 years. I am only involved in the dance portion of it, but I'm really excited to be apart of it.
- After organising my work experience right at the beginning of the year, I'm really excited to say that it's coming up very shortly. I'll be working at my local University in the Fashion and Textiles department as an assistant. I'm looking forward to being surrounded by people that share the same passion as me.
So there's an update on my recent/upcoming life. Blogposts may not be a regular as once a week for a little while, but I'll try my hardest to get them up when I can. When the summer holidays come around I can guarantee there will be plenty of posts on my blog. Thank you.
Love Mais.
