MY TOP 3: LIPSTICKS.

Sunday, 1 March 2015

It's fair to say that all three of these lippy's have a similar hue when they're in the bullet however they're all very different once applied to the lips. Each one has a creamy formula supported by some very luxe packaging.
Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balm in Sultry £7.99 - (The first swatch) This is probably the creamiest out of the three making it a dream to apply and wear. The colour is something that I gravitate towards due to the unusual twist on a classic red and to me it screams 90's/Kate Moss classic. Aside from the beautiful colour, my favourite aspect of this lipstick is the matte finish that it so elegantly gives whilst still feeling comfortable and moisturising on the lips. Basically my ideal red.

MAC lipstick in LoveLorn £15.50 - (The middle swatch) There is no other way to describe this lipstick besides 'your lips but better' as it's a subtle nude-pink with a slight sheen. Personally I enjoy wearing this over the top of Rimmel's East End Snob Lip Liner or MAC's Pink Treat Lip Liner to give it more of a polished finish. As per usual this MAC lipstick doesn't disappoint where application and colour pay off is concerned.

Unfortunately 'Called Up' Lipstick from Topshop is no longer sold however I will link an alternative here (£8) - (The last swatch) More of a winter shade though totally acceptable, in my opinion, to wear throughout the year. Lets just take a minute to appreciate the beauty that this lippy holds...this is the perrrrfect dark berry colour that works best when paired with a lip liner as dark lipsticks tend to get rather messy. To top it all off the packaging is so darn cute - as all Topshop makeup is!
The perfect lipstick isn't hard to find nowadays with nearly all brands producing a few 'cult classics'. Everyone has their own faves and at the moment these little beauties are mine.

Love Mais.
